Noxgear Tracer vest vs Ordinance #130.5

Hi, I posted this last year as a gentle reminder about reflective gear!

As I was driving to my ‘running meeting’ 🙂  one early morning, I saw a runner…or maybe it was a bear.  I cannot be sure because the runner/bear had no reflective gear on.  Get your reflective gear!  Enough said!

I thought this was worth a repost.   If you think drivers who are already on phones talking and texting can see you – sorry not so much.

Noxgear Tracer …what? What is this??  Well this is my favorite vest!  Noxgear and other brands are available both at Runners Alley and online.
If you are not already running with friends, this is certainly a friend you should make!

Still not interested in a vest…the city of Manchester says you should be! Did you know that there are a thousand ordinances in the city of Manchester? Ok maybe not a thousand, but more than you can imagine. The only one you need to worry about today is ordinance #130.5. Of course that is assuming you are not swimming naked or abanading Ice boxes.

No person shall jog or run on any city street without wearing appropriately colored clothing, such as orange, so as to be clearly visible to motorists during daylight hours. No person shall jog or run on any city street without wearing appropriately luminescent clothing, such as a safety vest, running suit, or reflective tape so as to be clearly visible to motorists during nighttime hours and at dawn or dusk. Penalty $130.99

BTW…are your children under 18 and asking to stay out with their friends past 9pm with no place to really go…ya, there is an ordinance on that!!

Happy Winter running!
