Announcements Track Workouts

In-person workouts start May 5

After more than a year of working out solo or in small groups, I am happy to announce that the Greater Manchester Running Club is ready to resume in-person workouts, May 5!

However, as we resume running together, we are still in the pandemic and everyone has different levels of comfort in terms of social distancing, mask wearing, vaccination, etc. Be respectful!

Mask wearing will be encouraged where social distancing isn’t possible.

The Details:

When: Wednesdays, 5:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.* (5/5 – 11/10)
What: weekly track workouts
Where: Livingston Park track – 156 Hooksett Rd, Manchester, NH 03104.

Note for 5:30 p.m. 5/5 & 5/12 workouts only: These workouts will be held as hill workouts in front of Hillside Middle School – 112 Reservoir Ave, Manchester, NH 03104. This is due to high school track meets on those evenings.

We will have a track captain at each session who will set up the timing clock, post the workouts, and answer any questions you may have. This cheat sheet explains how to choose a pace group and read our workout charts.

  • Peter Madden will serve as the a.m. track captain
  • Sid Slark will serve as the p.m. track captain.

Newcomers are welcome, so bring your friends and spread the word. Please note that any non-paying, non-member participants will need to fill out a waiver before participating.

On the topic of paying dues, we will have more info on this coming out soon, once we resolve a few PayPal issues.

Please send me any questions or post a comment here or on Facebook!

Happy running!
