In celebration of SNHU Veterans Week 2016, the 2nd annual Penmen for Patriots 5K will be held on SNHU’s Manchester campus (USATF certified) on November 12th at 10:30 a.m. Net proceeds from the race will benefit Easter Seals Veterans Count.

Veterans Count provides critical and timely financial assistance and services when no other resource is available to veterans, service members and their families, to ensure their dignity, health and overall well-being. Veterans Count provides veterans and their families with employment counseling, emergency financial assistance, mental health support, deployment support, and substance abuse services.

The Penmen for Patriots 5K starts directly in front of the SNHU Student Center. The course consists of two loops, which encompasses portions of the beautiful SNHU campus on both the east and west sides of North River Road. The race ends in front of the SNHU Athletic Complex. We will post times, present awards, and provide post-race refreshments in the Student Center’s Last Chapter Pub. 21+ runners (with ID) will receive a ticket for a complimentary beer in the pub.

There will be $100, $75 and $50 cash prizes for the top male/female finishers. Long-sleeve shirts will be provided to all runners who register by October 14th.

Online registration is available at https://www.runreg.com/penmen-for-patriots-5k. Online registration will close at noon on November 11; cash and credit card registration will be accepted the day of the race. Race day registration will take place in the Student Center lobby starting at 8:00 a.m.
