This Sunday, 603Endurance is hosting a really fun relay trail race. The Great Pumpkin Relay is a 2 person 10k through a farm in Lee NH. Each person runs a 1.5-ish mile loop and hands off the a mini pumpkin (about the size of a tennis ball) to their partner. Each person runs 2x. Lots of people dress up in costume. Many do not. I ran it last year with Alice and it was a hoot! PS…603 usually has a bunch of craft beers for post race carb loading. Details and sign ups here:http://six03endurance.com/pumpkin/

Are you ready to represent Greater Manchester Running Club at one of the most fun and affordable running events of the season? If yes, then read on for more details and instructions on signing up.
When: Dec 8, 2019; 8 AM (race start time)
Where: Meet in Manchester, carpool to the start in Nashua; Relay ends in Lowell
Cost: $10 for club members, $20 for non-club members
Registration deadline: Sunday, November 3
GMRC Sign Up*: https://www.gmrcnh.org/mill-cities-relay-signup/
*GMRC handles runner registration and team assignments locally and then registers those runners and teams as a club
This invitation-only event, of which GMRC is one of the original members, pits local running clubs against one another over a 26.2 mile relay course from Nashua to Lowell. Teams of 3 or 5 runners compete to see which club can bring home the most bricks — what better trophy for the Mill Cities Alliance?
Mill Cities Relay isn’t just about competition, though. It’s also about camaraderie and having fun with other runners in our community. We want you to participate and we have teams and relay legs for runners of all abilities!
The club is covering half the cost for each team, meaning each dues-paying runner pays just $10 for one of the most fun and unique events in the New England running community AND it includes the post-race meal (if you’re not a dues-paying member, you can still run for us but you must either pay the full $20 fee -or- pay club dues to receive the $10 member price).
Other details–For those who have never run Mill Cities Relay before, plan on the event taking about half the day. We will meet early Sunday morning (6-ish) in Manchester and gather into teams. Teams will car pool to the start at the Eagles Wings Function Hall in Nashua and race to the finish at the Claddagh Pub in Lowell 27 miles down the road. Race starts at 8:00 am. Many runners stay for the post-race festivities at the Claddagh, though it’s usually not difficult to secure rides with other club members back to Manchester early.
